A series of collages composed of silver gelatin prints, later hand dyed, and based on polaroids taken from French and Danish sculptures of violent or bitter scenes from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. By zooming in and cropping into specific points, and then dressing them in delicate and warm pinks and ochre, I am softening the scenes to make them full of intimacy, romance, love and erotism. I’m making something banal or grotesque into something beautiful.
