La Mar tears down the linguistic determinism around my native language (Spanish). The sea, La Mar as i know call her (El - masculine- Mar in correct spanish), has now been stripped from her blue masculine mantel, and dressed in pinks and yellows. She now blends herself with basic woman depicting shapes of circles and triangles, realising an abstract yet feminine series of portraits that transitions her from male into my female.
